Q - The IowaWines.org website does not display correctly on my computer screen. Some elements of the webpage appear to be scattered around and located in the wrong area.
A - The IowaWines.org website is optimized for use with Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher. However, the site has also been optimized to work with most other browser versions. If you're experiencing problems with viewing our website with your browser, please check to make certain you are using the most current version available. If you continue to have problems, please feel free to notify us with an email.
Q - When I search for WINES, I'm not finding very many wines that match my search criteria. Am I doing something wrong?
A - The WINES search function allows you to search by wine type as well as one sweetness characteristic, one bouquet characteristic and two taste characteristics. The more search characteristics you specify, the more specific the results will be because the wine must match all your search characteristics. You are not required to enter a term into every search characteristic. If your search is not returning very many (or any) results, try eliminating some of your search terms to make your search less specific. You may do this by clicking on the small X on the right hand side of each of your selected search terms.
Q - I'm not able to locate wines, events, and/or retailer locations for my favorite winery. Am I doing something wrong?
A - Most likely you're doing everything correctly. The addition and maintenance of wines, events and retail locations in the IowaWines.org database is voluntary on the part of the wineries listed on our website. If you are not able to find events, wines, or retailers for a specific winery, it's most likely due to the winery deciding not to add them to the database.
